Having competed for his country as a junior between 1997-1999, Collins natural progression was to join the senior team which he did at the 2001 European Championships in Germany. That year the UK finished with a respectable .282 team average.

In 2009, Collins pitched the Bracknell Blazers to their first national title. He gave up just 4 runs over 9.0 innings, striking out 8 in a complete-game win. It was a feat that would see him recalled to the Team GB squad less than twelve months later to play alongside future Mustangs star Spencer Kreisberg at the European Championships.

Also in the side that year were two of our other new signings this season, brothers Michael and Ryan Trask.

Back at club level, Collins proved his pitching prowess once again, becoming the league-leader in strikeouts for the 2011 season.

Collins arrives at Wide Lane from the Daws Hill Spitfires, where he put on a dominating pitching display last season to secure the AA national final for the Buckinghamshire side, who beat the Sheffield Bladerunners 10-0.

The arrival of Collins at the Mustangs helps restore our formidable pitching rotation. Everyone at the club is excited to watch him play and compete for trophies in 2017.
