John Marsh

John Marsh

John was another founding member of the Mustangs, playing at third base, possessing a powerful bat and again, a regular at the International Tournaments in France.

But it wasn’t just on the field where John made a difference for the Mustangs.  His contribution off it was extremely significant in building the foundations of what the club is now.  Not only did he assist with team management and coaching, he was influential in securing the usage of the Wide Lane facilities on which the club still ply their trade today.

His ability and perseverance to promote baseball at a business level provided the organisational backbone to the Mustangs from the outset, securing university funding and sponsorship deals aiding field development together with the provision of playing uniforms, training kit and equipment.

Jon was a real asset who had the Mustangs in his heart and running through his blood.
